It begins though you don't want it
then, you let it start fully aware that it can only end badly
and you are showing off and shoot your mouth, and analyse
dragging out and tearing to pieces the narratives
you know already too well
and then silence grows
and you realise that the thing that is happening has no precedence
neither the right nor the likelihood to happen
were you more skillful
you might have spotted a familiar pattern
and could be telling it as a story
or name it as a bird, or an insect
instead you let it just be
and surround you with some impossible
glow you dare not name
and as if it had been waiting for exactly that moment
when logically it wouldn't follow from anything any more
it does end badly. |
