A green bottle
might as well be
an object of infinite sadness
or
a reminder of happier moments shared,
of intimacy, a rare moment of self abandon
of community
as well as
an emblem of regret and
a trigger of helpless fear
of the unstoppable race
towards self-digestion.
All is crowded in a shape
and colour, a certain shine
in the artificial light
on a dull, foggy November day
when speaking had better be bottled
and left alone. |
